I am looking to confirm a citation which I read in Italian that said Montessori founded the first feminist association in Italy in 1896. Any information on the beginnings of Italian feminism in English or Italian would be greatly appreciated.

The Lega per la promozione degli interessi femminili (League for the promotion of women's interests, founded in 1881 by Anna Maria Mozzoni, was, as far as I know, the first organized movement for female emancipation in Italy.
