Daycare Debate/Bibliography

Query From Helen S. Schwartz hschwart@mail.dreamscape.com 09 Sept 1997

I'm working on a museum exhibit on the last 100 years of child rearing advice and practice and could use some help on the topic of daycare. Does anyone know of any good articles or books that outline the debates over daycare and Head Start from the 1960s to today? It would be only a small part of the whole exhibit so what I really need is a good overview rather than government reports, etc. Thanks in advance...
