In Madrid, at calle Atocha, 85, on the site of Juan de la Cuesta's press, a Museo de Cervantes is now being built by the Spanish Ministerio de Cultura. It will have several exposition rooms, an 84-seat theater, a seventeenth-century print shop (brought from Valencia), and will have a study area for Cervantists. It is hoped that by Cervantes' birthday of 1986 (April 23), the museum will open to the public (El País, May 5, 1985).
