Note: In 1907, Habib Mu'ayyad went on pilgrimage and attained 'Abdu'l- Baha's presence, Who encouraged him to go to Beirut and study medicine. For the next eight years, Dr. Mu'ayyad frequently visited 'Abdu'l-Baha and partook of His utterances and witnessed the events of the Holy Land, particularly the first year of World War I, when the Baha'i community was relocated from Haifa/Akka area to a Druze village. Dr. Mu'ayyad kept a detailed diary on 'Abdu'l-Baha's talks and related events, which later, at Shoghi Effendi's urging, he published.
