Maqalih-'i Shakhsi Sayyah kih dar qaziyyih-'i Bab nivishtih ast
[A Traveller's Narrative]. Ed. and Trans. E. G. Browne. 2 vols.: Persian Text Volume 1. English Translation Volume 2. (Cambridge: Cambridge University Press, 1891) Digitally reprinted, East Lansing, Mi.: H-Bahai, 1999.

Notes: MacEoin, Sources for Early Babi Doctrine and History, pp. 169-170: "Written by the son and successor of Mirza Husayn `Ali Nuri, `Abbas Effendi `Abd al-Baha, in about 1886, this work was first published anonymously in Persian in Bombay in 1890. It was subsequently issued in a facsimile edition together with an English translation by E. G. Browne in 1891. The manuscript copy on which Browne's facsimile edition is based is in the hand of the Baha'i scribe Zayn al-Muqarrabin, and was presented to Browne in the course of his visit to Acre in 1890. It now constitutes item F. 56 (7) in the Browne Collection . . . 69 pages out of 211 (in the Persian text) are devoted to the history of the Bab and his followers up to 1852. The rest of the book is given over to an account of the early career and teachings of the author's father, with the emphasis on doctrine rather than history . . .
