Notes: A chronicle of the Babi uprising at Shaykh Tabarsi in Mazandaran, 1848-1849. Manuscript facsimile in difficult hand, with first page badly photocopied but the rest fairly legible. See MacEoin, The Sources for Early Babi Doctrine and History, pp. 162-163: "Yet another account of the Shaykh Tabarsi siege by a survivor is the Tarikh-i waqayi`-i Mazandaran by Aqa Abu Talib Shahmirzadi. I hae not ye been able to determine the date when this narrative was written, but it is known that the author died in 1310/1892-93. The history may not, therefore, be particularly early, but it does at least represent a sympathetic eye-witnesss account of the events in question. Shahmirzadi's account would seem to be Zarandi's source for his version of the Shaykh Tabarsi struggle . . . There also exists an account of Shaykh Tabarsi written by Shahmirzadi's younger brother, Aqa Sayyid Muhammad Rida. The latter was not present at the siege, but we may presume that he based his narrative on information provided by his brother and, possibly, others. Parts of this account are quoted by Mazandarani."
