    Notes:

A chronicle in Persian of the fighting between the Iranian government and the Babis at Zanjan in 1850, as recollected by an aged eyewitness who had been a child at the time, and given to E.G. Browne.

NOTES: Translated in E.G. Browne, "Personal Reminiscences of the Babi Insurrection at Zanjan in 1850" Journal of the Royal Asiatic Society, vol. 29 (1897): 761-827. MacEoin, Sources for Early Babi Doctrine and History, notes, pp. 163-164, that "Histories of the Zanjan upheaval of 1266/1850 to 1267/1851 are more common. Of these, the best known is a narrative written by Aqa `Abd al-Ahad Zanjani, a participant in the siege who later became an Azali. His account was translated and published by Browne in 1897 . . .The original manuscript in `Abd al-Ahad's own hand forms item 6 of manuscript F.25 in the Browne collection. It is dated 1309/1892."
