Bio: Daniel Herman is Professor of History at Central Washington University. His research specialties are American cultural history, the American West, and American Indian history. He has written three books: Rim Country Exodus: A Story of Conquest, Renewal, and Race in the Making (University of Arizona Press, 2012); Hell on the Range: A Story of Honor, Conscience, and the American West (Yale University Press, 2010); and Hunting and the American Imagination (Smithsonian Institution Press, 2001). He is currently working on a U.S. history survey textbook. Herman was born and raised in Arizona, and retains a special interest in that state's history. |
