Bio: Megan L. MacDonald, Ph.D. received her doctorate in American Studies from Purdue University. Publication history includes a chapter about Two-Spirit activism in the anthology Queer Twin Cities: Twin Cities GLBT Oral History Project. Her current research focuses on tribal constitutions and the implementation of anti-discrimination language around gender and gender identity and expression. This research speaks to the power tribal constitutions have as the third, and mostly unrecognized, sovereign in the U.S. political system. She presently teaches an introductory level courses in Ethnic Studies, Social Movements, and Native American Studies for the Department of Ethnic Studies at Bowling Green State University. She has taught American Indian Studies for University of Minnesota and Women’s Studies and U.S. History for Purdue University. |
