Bio: Shelby M. Balik is an associate professor of history at Metropolitan State University of Denver. She specializes in American Religious history with emphases in religious toleration, family history, and gender and race in religious life. She is the author of Rally the Scattered Believers: Northern New England's Religious Geography (Indiana, 2014) and is at work on a study of household religion in eighteenth-century North America as well as a edited digitized and print collection of documents from the First Moravian Church in New York City from its founding through the end of the American Revolution. |
