Bio: I am PhD student at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences in Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB). I am conducting an ethnographic study of Afghan refugees in India for my thesis work. My thesis looks at issues of Nation-State and Citizenship, role of International humanitarian organisations for refugees and dynamics of religion and religious organisations in refugee's resettlement. My Research Interests are: Migration Studies,Sociology of Migration, Refugee Studies, Study of Nation-states and Citizenship, newly emerging spaces due to transnational and trans regional mobilities. |
