Andrew Chadwick is a first year History Ph.D. student at the University of Maryland, College Park. Andrew is also a Jack Kay Distinguished Graduate Fellow in Advanced Israel Studies with the Israel Studies Graduate Program at the University of Maryland.
Andrew’s research has focused on Israeli national security strategy. He is primarily interested in researching how social and political developments within Israel and the broader Middle East have affected the structure, doctrine, and capabilities of the Israeli Defense Forces. His research on the 2006 Lebanon War appeared in the Small Wars Journal in 2012.
Andrew has an MA in International Security from the University of Denver, a BA in History from the University of Maryland, College Park, and a BA in Political Science from the University of Saint Mary. Andrew is also a Second Lieutenant in the Maryland Army National Guard, in which he previously served two years as an enlisted Combat Engineer. Andrew has worked as a contractor for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and as an intern for the U.S. Department of State.
