My research explores the integration of intellectual ideas into the culture of early-modern England with an emphasis on how the general public received and interpreted these ideas. Two ways in which I explore this is through examinations of the theological, political, and scientific views of English deists and studies of how science became part of England’s national discourse through exposure to advertisements.
