Bio: Michael W. Kauffman is the author of American Brutus: John Wilkes Booth and the Lincoln Conspiracies (Random House, 2004) and has appeared in more than twenty television and radio documentaries on the subject of Abraham Lincoln's assassination. He specializes in historical methodologies with an emphasis on memory and perception. His Booth studies, conducted over more than forty years, led to an interest in law, theater, and psychology as well as oppositional groups in the border states during the American Civil War. |
