Early Medieval Indian history with emphasis on cultural history, Social dimension of religion, Identity formation and Western Himalayan oral traditions. Since I combine Historian's craft and Social Anthropologists' tools, the emphasis is on fieldwork integrated with archival research, visual material, oral traditions, and epigraphy.
