Bio: My PhD is from University of Illinois Chicago with fields in Jacksonian America, 20th century, and imperialism and emigration. I have given and published papers on rural life at the turn of the 20th century as well as 19th century politics. I have a biography of Edward Coles (1789-1867)under consideration by Southern Illinois University Press and have published a 4th grade history textbook on Wisconsin, Wisconsin Journey. My early career was in public history when I worked fro several county historical societies and managed the Gibbs Farm Museum in St. Paul, MN. I have directed several grants for teachers including a Teach American History project. |
