I am currently working on a project that examines the spread of disease across Subarctic and Arctic North America as a result of post-contact environmental change.

I have a PhD from York University in Toronto, my dissertation project examined the environmental history of the large lakes of Northwest Canada. I have published an article on socio-economic impacts of climate change in colonial New Brunswick titled "Backward Seasons and Remarkable Cold: the Weather over Long Reach, New Brunswick, 1812-1821," in Acadiensis (Autumn 2004). I have presented on northern transporation, freshwater fisheries, and industrial change at ASEH, ESEH, and CHA conferences respectively. I am working on a post-doc at the University of British Columbia.
