Bio: Ph. D Washington State University, 1996 Associate Professor at Bloomsburg University I teach Early National, Civil War, and Pennsylvania history. "Guarrding the Republican Interest: The Western Pennsylvania Democratic Socieities and the Excise Tax," Pennsylvania History: A Journal of Mid-Atlantic Studies, Winter 2000. I am also completing a secondary text book for Gibbs-Smith publishing entitled The Pennsylvania Journey, due out fall 2004. I have also delivered several conference papers dealing with Pennsylvania during the Early National period at PHA conferences and Senator Rush Holt Conference at West Virginia University. I have also delivered a paper at the Military History Conference on citizen soldiers during the Civil War, entitled, "The Fighting Johnston Brothers: Immigrant Soldiers During the Civil War." |
