The Research Division is comprised of the Papers of Abraham Lincoln, the Oral History Program, the Lincoln Collection and special programs such as the King V. Hostick Award and the Conference on Illinois History. |

Bio: Degrees: PhD International Relations/American History University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Honorary doctorates from Lincoln College and Lincoln Memorial University. Publications: Over sixty articles in professional publications, chapter entries, and electronic databases dealing mostly with Illinois history and Abraham Lincoln. Editor of the Journal of the Abraham Lincoln Association 1988 through 2002 (now senior editor). Historical advisor for the Journal of Illinois History. Major Exhibits: "'The Last Best Hope of Earth': Abraham Lincoln and the Promise of America," Huntington Library Oct.1993 through November 1994 and Chicago Historical Society February 1996 through February 1997.
