1. Urbanism in Rural Malaysia: ongoing write up, analysis and revision of data collected during PhD dissertation fieldwork.
2. Internet and Academic Networks: ongoing data collection, organizing 4-country comparative survey of internet use and internet-mediated networking among academics in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and the United States. First results expected in 2003.
3. Cultural Difference across Semantic Domains: proposed pilot research project to begin in 2003, currently organizing collaboration with research team from the University of California at Irvine.
