University of Newcastle upon Tyne
My research interests cover a wide range of topics within this field, including landscape history, past land management and conservation, woodland history, and the historical geography of forestry and land use. More broadly, I am also interested in the impact of environmental change on past human societies and how people have responded to these changes.
At present I am based a the University of Newcastle where I teach environmental history.
