Bio: Mickey Lauria is a Professor of City and Regional Planning and Director of the Center for Community Growth and Change in the College Architecture, Arts and Humanities at the Clemson University. He is Vice President/President Elect of the Association of Collegiate Schools of Planning and has served as Co-editor of the Journal of Planning Education and Research. He has published articles on urban redevelopment, urban politics, and community-based development organizations in planning, geography, and urban studies journals. His recent local research interests also include patterns and impacts of housing foreclosures, identity politics and urban schooling, and planning issues involving race and class in New Orleans.
