Description
The Department of History at Columbia University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor for modern South Asia. We seek scholars with expertise in nineteenth and twentieth century South Asia. The candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate students while also contributing to the general curriculum of the department and the Core curriculum of the College. A Ph.D. is required at the time of appointment. The appointment will begin July 1, 2024.
Review begins Oct 30, 2023 and will continue until the position is filled.

Salary Range or Pay Grade
$90,000 - $105,000
