Description
The Department of History at the Johns Hopkins University invites applications for the Rohrbaugh Assistant Professor in Colonial Latin American history. We are particularly interested in candidates working in the early colonial period (fifteenth through seventeenth centuries) and who focus on topics and/or employ methods related to Indigenous or Afro-Latin American history.
Qualifications
A Ph.D. in History or a related field is required, but we will accept applications from doctoral students expected to fulfill Ph.D. degree requirements by July 1, 2024.

The committee will not conduct interviews at the American Historical Association annual meeting. Review of applications will begin on October 15, 2023.
