The Department of Religious Studies at Yale University is looking to hire a tenure-track assistant professor in the field of Religion and Society beginning July 1, 2024. We are interested in candidates whose research derives from the field of Religious Studies as well as of other departments, using methods of anthropology, geography, performance and ritual studies, or sociology. Geographical, traditional, and historical focus is open.
The teaching expectation is normally 4 courses per academic year, plus service to the Department and the University. The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses in the field of Religion and Society. The appointee must hold a Ph.D. or equivalent degree or have completed all requirements for the Ph.D. by time of hire.
