The United States Naval Academy History Department invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor specializing in environmental history. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in history or a closely related field and a clear commitment to researching and teaching environmental history. Chronologies, methodologies, approaches, and geographical areas are open. Applications will be reviewed beginning October 2, 2023, but applications will be accepted after that date until the position is filled. The United States Naval Academy (USNA) is a four-year undergraduate institution with a mission to prepare midshipmen morally, mentally, and physically for commissioning as officers in the naval services.
