Job Description

The Department of History, Philosophy, and Religious Studies in the School of Sciences and Humanities at Nazarbayev University in Astana, Kazakhstan invites applications for an instructor position in the History of Kazakhstan. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to a team-taught History of Kazakhstan survey for first-year students. They will lead twelve discussion sections per week (a 4:4 load) with TA support.

Qualifications

The successful candidates must have a Master’s Degree in History or Eurasian Studies or related area in hand, and preference will be given to individuals with demonstrable knowledge of the region. The position is available from August 2023. The contract will be for a period of three years (August 2023 -June 2026) on a renewable basis.
