Visiting Assistant Professor in Environmental Politics

The Government Department at St. Lawrence University invites applications for a visiting assistant professor position in Environmental Politics. The sub-field of politics is open, but the department seeks candidates that utilize quantitative methods or big data in their research and teaching. The successful candidate will be prepared to teach introductory courses in their sub-field, as well as upper-level courses in environmental politics. Candidates who specialize in public policy are particularly invited to apply, though all areas of environmental politics will be considered. The position begins August 2023 and the teaching load is three courses per semester. Applicants should have their Ph.D. in Political Science or Public Policy by August 15, 2023, but ABD candidates may be considered. The successful candidate will join a department of 11 full-time faculty members who are passionate about supporting our liberal arts curriculum through diverse and inclusive pedagogies and scholarly agendas. Our supportive department colleagues regularly provide feedback and mentoring to visiting and new faculty to foster pedagogical and professional development.
