The Department of History at Loyola University New Orleans is seeking applications for a
tenure-track assistant professor of Middle Eastern History. Contemporary Middle Eastern history
(Twentieth Century to the Present) is preferred; however, applicants must be able to teach both
parts of the Middle Eastern History Survey as well as a Global History survey. Applicants with
research and teaching specialties that would contribute to our international studies
concentration are strongly encouraged to apply. The position will include direction of the Middle
East Peace Studies Minor and the Annual Loyola University New Orleans Student Peace
Conference. Applicants must have a Ph. D. in History in hand by August 2023.
