Missouri State University’s History Department is searching for an instructor to teach HST 122 (U.S. History since 1877), and the department’s Writing Course (HST 210). Start date is August 14, 2023. The successful candidate may have the opportunity to teach upper-level courses in their specialty depending on department needs. Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D. in History or a related field, with an emphasis in US History. Potential or demonstrated teaching ability is required. A willingness to serve the academic unit, college, and the University is required. The ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds is required. Applicants must also be willing to teach online and seated classes.
