Visiting Assistant Professor of Modern European History

The Department of History at Kalamazoo College invites applications for a full-time Visiting Assistant Professor position for one year—September 2023 through June 2024. The position involves teaching six courses (2-2-2 across three, ten-week terms) in Modern European History, including Introduction to Modern European History and five upper-level elective courses chosen or designed in consultation with the department. Field and geographic area are open, but the position will need to be able to offer a variety of transnational and thematic classes, and we particularly welcome applications from candidates who can offer classes on Eastern European history. Ph.D. (or evidence of imminent completion) required. Prior teaching experience is desirable. Candidates must demonstrate an interest in undergraduate teaching.
