Assistant Professor of Latin American History
The preferred applicant will teach undergraduate and graduate Latin American history courses, world history surveys, and other courses that complement our departmental offerings. We are interested in all research areas in Latin American History.
UL Lafayette is located in Acadiana, the southwest Louisiana region featuring a historically diverse population, although it is most commonly recognized for its Creole and Cajun cultures. The University holds among its core values “acknowledging the contributions of the Acadian and Creole cultures to this region” and “believing in the inherent worth of diverse cultures and perspectives.“
Qualifications:
PhD by the time of appointment is required. Teaching experience is desirable. Successful candidates must be committed to working effectively with diverse student populations. Applicants are expected to describe their commitment to fostering a diverse educational environment through their research, teaching, and/or service activities.
