Call for application for 16 post-doc fellowships

The Scuola Superiore Meridionale invites applications for 16 one-year postdoctoral fellowships renewable up to three years in the following research areas: Ancient Mediterranean Archaeology and Cultures-ACMA (4 fellowships), Global History and Governance-GHG (4 fellowships), Law and organizational studies fo people with disabilities-LOSPD (4 fellowships), Texts, Traditions and Book Cultures-TTCL (4 fellowships). Successful appointees will engage full-time in independent research. The post holders will be guided by faculty mentors in their respective fields and will be asked to participate in the educational activities of the SSM through tutorial teaching for up to 50 hours per year. The posts will be tenable for one year in the first instance and renewable for a further two years. The posts will not be renewed beyond the third year.

Eligibility: Applicants must hold a PhD granted by June 2023. They must also have an excellent command of English and possibly of a second or third language. They must present a research project on a subject relevant to the research program.
Salary and Benefits: Salary is € 35,000 per year. Each Fellow will receive an annual research fund of circa € 3,000.
Tenure: The Fellowship program begins in spring 2023 and ends on April 31, 2026
Location: Naples (Italy). Fellowships require residency for the duration of the tenure.
