The Department of Ethnic Studies in the College of Liberal Arts at the California Polytechnic StateUniversity, San Luis Obispo (Cal Poly), invites candidates to apply for a full-time, tenure-track,academic-year Assistant Professor position to begin September 14, 2023.
We seek Ethnic Studies generalist candidates with expertise in comparative frameworks in U.S.histories of settler colonialism, capitalism, genocide, slavery, sovereignty, and racialization whoseresearch complements the current strengths of the department. Preference will be given to thosewith demonstrated ability to teach courses in African American/Africana/Black Studies, AsianAmerican Studies, and/or Queer/Trans of Color Critique.
