Transylvania University (www.transy.edu), a top-tier, independent, residential liberal arts college in Lexington, Kentucky, invites applications for a full-time, one-year, non-tenure-track Visiting Assistant Professor of History. This is an in-person teaching position beginning September 1, 2023. Job Description:
The successful candidate will offer three courses per term, plus one short-term course in May (3-3-1), including the two-semester United States history survey, upper-level courses in the candidate’s areas of interest, and contributions to the university’s General Education program.
Qualifications:
A Ph.D. or nearly completed Ph.D. in United States History, specialization open, is required, along with college level teaching experience.
