Chair of the Department of History, Philosophy, and Religious Studies

Eastern Kentucky University seeks a Chair of the Department of History, Philosophy, and Religious Studies. This department of collegial faculty seeks a chair who will support and lead us as committed teachers and active scholars. The successful candidate will be an accomplished teacher and established scholar with academic administrative experience commensurate with the position. They should hold a Ph.D. in either History or Philosophy.

The Department of History, Philosophy, and Religious Studies is made up of 22 full-time (and additional part-time) faculty with diverse research and teaching interests. The department offers Bachelor of Arts degrees in History, History Teaching, and Philosophy as well as a Master of Arts in History and Minors and Certificates in African and African American Studies, Asian Studies, and Applied Ethics.
