Humanities and Creative Arts – Middletown: Assistant Teaching Professor to teach courses in World History, advise students, and provide service to the department and university. Appointment is on the Miami University Middletown campus in the College of Liberal Arts and Applied Science, which encompasses two regional campuses at Miami University and is distinct for its open admissions policy. The successful candidate may be asked to teach in any of the nearby regional locations. Appointment begins August 2023.
Required Qualifications: Ph.D. in History by date of appointment. Position not eligible for H-1B sponsorship.
Desired Qualifications: Consideration may be given to candidates with teaching experience in both halves of World History, (subfield open); the ability to teach modern history of the non-western world; those with a demonstrated commitment through teaching and service to issues related to diversity, equity, and inclusion; and an interest in online teaching.
