2023-2024 Harry Starr Fellowship in Judaica
Institution Type: | College / University |
Location: | Massachusetts, United States |
Position: | Fellow |
The Starr fellowships for 2023-24 will be available to scholars working on topics related to Jewish migration in the sixteenth through twenty-first centuries. Preference will be given to scholars in the fields of history and the social sciences, but applications from religious and cultural studies will also be considered. Ph.D. required. Recent recipients of the doctorate and junior faculty are especially encouraged to apply.
Starr Fellows must be in residence during the time of their appointment (unless University policy forbids Harvard-sponsored travel and access to Harvard buildings and resources). Fellows must be in residence for at least the entirety of the spring term. We encourage fellows to come for the entire year.
Starr Fellows will receive a stipend of $40,000 for the spring semester or $70,000 for the full academic year.
