Position description
The Department of Psychology (https://psychology.ucsd.edu) within the School of Social Sciences at the University of California, San Diego invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position from candidates who utilize a computational approach to study any of the areas represented in the department or their intersection (Cognitive Psychology, Cognitive Behavioral Neuroscience, Developmental Psychology, Sensation & Perception, or Social Psychology).
Successful candidates are expected to establish a vigorous program of high-quality research. Preference will be given to candidates with a strong background in applying computational methods in psychology, demonstrated impact on their area, and a track record of interdisciplinary and collaborative work. Successful candidates are required to teach graduate and undergraduate students within the Department of Psychology. Demonstrated teaching excellence is preferred.

Qualifications
Basic qualifications (required at time of application)
At the time of application, candidates must have a Ph.D. or be ABD (all but dissertation), and possess a record of published or publishable research applying computational methods to psychology or a closely related field.
