Flagler College, Humanities
Visiting Lecturer in Colonial America/Atlantic World
Institution Type: | College / University |
Location: | Florida, United States |
Position: | Lecturer |
The Flagler College Department of Humanities invites applications for a dynamic instructor to teach multiple sections of our general education and upper-division History courses as a Visiting Lecturer (one-year contract with no guarantee of renewal) starting in Fall 2022. The Visiting Lecturer will teach up to 15 contact hours per week, with some sections scheduled in the evening. Given our location in historic St. Augustine, “the nation’s oldest city,” we seek a candidate who will engage with our local colonial history and/or the Atlantic World. Instructors are also welcome to develop their own course offerings, provided they meet the learning outcomes within the HIS major and our new General Education program: https://www.flagler.edu/about-flagler/mission-and-values/. Applications will be considered until the position is filled.
