Assistant Lecturer in Thai in the School of Modern Languages and Cultures (Ref.: 512036) (to commence on July 1, 2022 or as soon as possible thereafter, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to performance and availability of funding)
Applicants should possess a B.A. degree and relevant Master’s degree with proven expertise in the teaching of Thai to non-native speakers plus at least 3 years’ of teaching experience in tertiary education. They should be native or near native speakers of Thai and possess excellent communication skills in English. They should also be conversant with current trends in language teaching and assessment. The appointee is expected to teach a number of different courses at various levels, and develop new courses and design assessment materials. This position will also include Thai cultural promotion and overall administrative work for the Thai programme. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
