The Department of History at Reed College invites applications for a two-year appointment as visiting assistant professor in History and Humanities, with a specialization in modern or early modern African, Middle Eastern, or South Asian history, to begin in the 2022–23 academic year. The position carries a 3-2 teaching load over two semesters. In addition to teaching courses in their area of expertise, the appointee will also contribute to the College’s interdisciplinary Humanities program, and advise year-long senior theses in the department.
