United States Civil War Era
The Department of History at the University of Mississippi (http://history.olemiss.edu/) invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor of History specializing in the United States during the Civil War era or in Civil War memory. Appointment will begin in August 2022. PhD expected prior to appointment. The teaching load is 2-2. Duties will include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses as well as helping to further the programs of the Center for Civil War Research (http://www.civilwarcenter.olemiss.edu/).

The University has an R-1 Highest Research Activity Carnegie Classification.
