The Florida State University Department of History invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in U.S. History post-1865 and Public History. Preference will be given to applicants who complement existing departmental strengths. Experience with institutions or cultural centers that interpret the past for public audiences is also preferred. The successful candidate will teach two courses a semester, contributing to the department's undergraduate and graduate offerings in U.S. History and the Historical Administration and Public History Program.
Doctoral degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization required by the start of the appointment in Fall 2022 with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service.
