The Department of History at the University of Oklahoma invites applications for a tenure-track or tenured position in US environmental history, with an emphasis on issues of race, indigeneity, and/or ethnicity, at the rank of assistant, associate, or full professor. Successful candidates will unite excellence in research and teaching with a commitment to building an inclusive, diverse, and equitable campus community. Candidates should be prepared to teach upper-division and graduate courses in environmental history and US history as well as the US survey. The annual teaching load is 2-2. The Department of History promotes the professional development and career advancement of all its members.

Qualifications
A Ph. D. in History or a related field is required by August 16, 2022, the time of the appointment.
