Position Description
The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Department of Religious Studies invites applications for a tenure-line assistant or associate professor in Religion and the Environment to begin August 2022. This position will teach, advise, and perform other service for the Department of Religious Studies. Must have active research agenda.
Qualifications
PhD in a relevant field and teaching experience are preferred, but ABDs in the final stages of completing their dissertations will be considered. Preferred applicants will have a background in Religious Studies, a specialization in South Asian, Native American, Latin American, and/or African Studies, and will complement existing UTK faculty in Religious Studies. The Knoxville campus of the University of Tennessee is seeking candidates who have the ability to contribute in meaningful ways to the diversity and intercultural goals of the university.
