Teaching/Fellowship Opportunity for a Distinguished Historian of the United States

We seek a distinguished historian of the United States who will split the 2022-2023 academic year between Occidental College and the Huntington Library. In addition to researching the Huntington’s collections, the Billington Professor teaches one intermediate or advanced class per semester in the Occidental History Department, ideally courses that complement existing course offerings.
Associate and Full Professors from any college or university (excepting those in the greater Los Angeles area) are invited to apply. The position includes office space at both the Huntington and Occidental, a stipend of between $100,000-$120,000 (depending on rank), and other generous benefits.
