Job Description:
The Department of History in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Louisiana State University invites applications for a tenure-track position in 20th Century Europe, excluding Britain. Candidates must be able to assist in the supervision of graduate students in German history. We welcome applicants working in a variety of subfields. Our department is dedicated to the goal of building a culturally diverse and pluralistic faculty and we encourage applications from members of groups underrepresented in History. Additionally, we seek candidates whose research, teaching, or experience has prepared them to contribute to diversity and inclusion in higher education
Required Qualifications: Ph.D. in History and evidence of excellence in teaching and scholarship.
Teaching load of two courses per semester; salary competitive and commensurate with qualifications. The appointment begins August 2022. Application deadline is October 1, 2021.
