The Stephen F. Austin State University Department of History is accepting applications for a lecturer. The successful candidate must be able to teach both World and U.S. History surveys. The teaching load typically will be four surveys per semester. In place of one survey course, there may be an opportunity to teach upper-level courses on Africa, the Indian Ocean World or the Middle East. The ability to also teach a Western Civilization survey is a plus. The successful candidate will perform service as required. A master’s degree is required. A doctoral degree is preferred.
