Middle Tennessee State University, Department of History invites applicants for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in the history of the Holocaust at the rank of assistant/associate professor. Start date for the position is August 1, 2021. Applicants must have a terminal degree in History or closely related field by appointment date.
The successful candidate will join a vibrant and intellectually diverse college with 300+ full-time faculty in the fine and performing arts, humanities, and social sciences. The College of Liberal Arts enthusiastically welcomes applications from talented individuals from all backgrounds. The successful candidate will be a historian of Europe with a specialization in the Holocaust. Teaching expectations include undergraduate survey courses, upper-division undergraduate courses in the Holocaust and Nazi Germany, and graduate courses in the candidate's field of expertise. They will be expected to take a leadership role in MTSU's Biennial Holocaust and Genocide Studies Conference. An active research agenda is expected.
